Don MacAdam, Chief Executive Officer of the company,
is a scientist and technology executive. He is the former president of CRS
Robotics Corporation, a manufacturer of laboratory robotic systems, and former
president and chief executive officer of Tm Bioscience Corporation, a
manufacturer of biochips and developer of DNA technologies. Mr. MacAdam is the
author of Spontaneous Regression: Cancer and the Immune System.
J.F. (Rick) Durst is a graduate of the Ivey School
of Business retiring at the age of forty-two after a career in investment
banking. Prior to this work, Rick spent three years assisting locally owned
businesses in an underdeveloped country. Rick has sat on the Boards of two TSX
listed companies and has served on many committees with numerous charities.
This includes representing patients on an accreditation committee of a major
Toronto Hospital. Rick is a cancer survivor, being one of the earliest
recipients of stem cell transplant therapy.
Jan-Paul Waldin, a lawyer, is a graduate of Osgoode
Hall Law School and holds an B.A. (Hons) in Economics from the University of
Toronto. Mr. Waldin acts as counsel providing legal and strategic advice for
both publicly traded and closely held corporations in Canada and abroad. He has
served on the boards of Canadian and multi-national corporations and has been
Vice President and General Counsel of biopharmaceutical company developing
therapeutic monoclonal antibodies.
Ted Mayers was the Chief Financial Officer of
LionOre Mining International Ltd. from 1997 until 2007, when it was sold to MMC
Norilsk Nickel. Subsequent to that, Mr. Mayers served as Chief Financial
Officer of Lundin Mining Corporation. Mr. Mayers has extensive experience in
accounting, finance, and corporate governance. He is a Chartered Accountant,
and has a BSc in biochemistry from McGill University and an MBA from the Richard
Ivey School of Business.
John Unsworth is president of Vasotech Corp, a
medical devices company. A biotechnology and medical device inventor and
entrepreneur, Mr. Unsworth was formerly president of BioFrost Inc. and Hypercube
Inc., and was a founder and director of GlycoDesign Inc.
Stephen A. Hoption Cann, Ph.D, Chief Scientific
Officer, is a clinical assistant professor in the School of Population and
Public Health at the University of British Columbia. His research interests
include the epidemiology of cancer, the phenomenon of spontaneous regression of
cancer and other diseases, fever therapy and the work of Dr. William Coley.
David Wales, B. Comm., CMA, Chief Financial Officer,
has held a number of high-level positions in finance including the senior roles
at two publicly traded companies: Tm Bioscience Corporation and CRS Robotics
Corporation. In addition to extensive financial experience, Mr. Wales is highly
proficient in corporate infrastructure development and business system
implementation.
